Subs for 2024
This years subs will be £45 which has been discounted by £3. From this amount we pay £13.10 to NFWI and £11 to CFWI. Payments to be paid at the April meeting.

Sunflower Competition
The winner of the tallest sunflower was Penny McDonald and the winner of the sunflower with the most heads was Barbara Mercer. Well done to both.
Dogs for the Deaf
We raised £203.52 for the Dogs for the Deaf and received a lovely thanks you letter from the two speakers and Damson.

RHS Bridgewater and IKEA
Our annual coach trip this year was to the wonderful RHS Bridgewater and IKEA visit. The weather was kind to us if not a bit chilly. However cake and coffee were consumed and lots of plants purchased. Looks like not everyone spent up at RHS seeing the shopping bags leaving IKEA. Bargains galore in the Market Place area made their way onto the coach. A big Thank You to Ann Clemett for her usual excellent arrangements.
Queen Hotel Christmas
New Chair
Following our Annual Meeting held on Tuesday 7 November Angela Dowdeswell has been voted in as our new Chair. Jean Harding announced after 8 years she is stepping down but will remain on the committee. Congratulations to Angela.
Bring and Buy Sale raising funds for Hedgehog Rescue Centre
For another Climate Change initiative we held a bring and buy sale of handbags, scarves and jewellery donated by our members. £125 was raised which we have donated to a local hedgehog rescue centre. These animals are in decline and on the UK red list as vulnerable down 50% since 2000.
Remembrance Poppies 2024
A group of volunteers once again gathered at St Mary's Church to put up the poppies ready for Remembrance Sunday. Meriel Clemett has made a wreath and Beryl Eastland has kindly volunteered to represent Eastham WI on Remembrance Sunday by laying the wreath.

Remembrance Poppies 2024
A group of volunteers once again gathered at St Mary's Church to put up the poppies ready for Remembrance Sunday. Meriel Clemmet has made a wreath and Beryl Eastland has kindly volunteered to represent Eastham WI on Remembrance Sunday by laying the wreath.
